Dallas cant afford Craig Smith unless Robertson gets a bridge deal. If Smith shows up before he gets signed then thats kinda a major **** you to Robertson. Like hey wed rather buy a rental this year rather than pay you what youre worth. Robertson should walk if that happened. Ive been thinking a lot about Nashville trying to get Craig Smith back. Good fit and it works.

Not to mention they cant afford to trade him. Florida is a mess, but losing Duclair seriously hurts them. Although Reilly would be a good fit on their weak back end.

IF JETS REBUILD
I think a lot of people are underrating Sheifele's value. More than a ppg 1C on a criminally cheap deal for the next 2 years. Not to mention hes a righty. Winnipeg doesnt have that much in the pipeline up the middle for a few more years. Perfetti and Barron are solid pieces so far but since i'm not positive Dubois is staying, I dont see Winnipeg trading Scheifele. Unless theyre given a deal they cant refuse. Doesnt make much sense to trade a 1C of his caliber in his prime just to get younger or more prospects. Because of the fact that the jets are the age they are, a rebuild doesnt make any sense to me. Connor, Ehlers, Morrissey, Pionk, Hellebuyck. Too many guys that are into their primes on this team. I seriously doubt any of them would want to go into a rebuild or retool and wait longer to compete. A Scheifele trade only works if they blow it sky high and trade everyone of value

You should of made it an actual bad contracts team. Could be more than one from the same team rather than 1 from all 32. Because Oshie has a great contract. Zuccarello as well.

Nylander for a top 4 Dman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Rocket</b></div><div>What? You think Holl is better than severson?</div></div>
With the lenses im looking through, yes. Toronto is blind to the issues they have. Lets trade a RHD on an expiring for a RHD on an expiring. pay 2 mil more and all youre getting is a maybe a 10-15 point offensive upgrade to your top 4. cant resign him next year so why risk losing a guy like holl who you can likely afford to resign. they have no top 2 on the right side which is fine but at the expense of trading a better defensive player it makes no sense. weak right side, no defensive depth. more focus on offense and less on defense, no ****in mystery they can't win. not to mention holl is tougher.

Yeah i think Minny is in serious trouble regardless of what they do. Serious cap issues from the buyouts got em bent over nose to toes the next two years.
beyond then it looks good cause of rossi, boldi, addison, wallstedt, thrill if hes still around. I think they'll be fighting for a wildcard this year. I got colorado, st.louis and nash in the top 3

Sorokin Big Contract
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ALjet12</b></div><div>Sorokin negotiate tactic is going to be that the cap is going to raise dramatically when his RFA Contract is done and Shesterkin can command anywhere between 8.5 - 9.5 million as the #1 goaltender in the league, so Sorokin is not far behind him. It also puts the isles in a crunch if Sorokin has a better next two years than Shesterkin because of superior defense behind him compare to the Rangers.</div></div>
Few things haha. Firstly, Shesterkin isn't the best in the world, top 3 no doubt, but Vasilevskiy comfortably holds that title. Second, he's currently a UFA so that only really hurts the islanders. If he has a great next season but holds off on signing an extension, that could be worse for the islanders. because if he has a great season in the last year of this contract then he could be tempted to hit the market for big bucks because the cap WILL be going up and someone is going to be willing to pay him north of 8 mil to have him on their team. regarless of what Igor does this year, i think it would be wise to give sorokin an extension after this season so you can guarantee you have him. because like i said in my last comment, there is a shortage of elite goaltenders and it make be a few more years to find and go after an elite guy on the market or someone young coming into that category.

He's going to have to have a phenomenal season this year to get that kind of extension tho, no one else in the league in his caliber right now makes anywhere near 8 mil. could change over the next two seasons, but there aren't a lot of "elite" potential goaltenders who will be up for a new contract until after sorokin will have signed his. Will be an interesting situation for sure. really like the guys play.

Sorokin Big Contract
If he has another season like he did last year, i'd argue he could be in the conversation for a top 5 goalie in the league. considering how **** the islanders played last year and how good his stats still were. Plus with how the league is nowadays with a shortage of elite or high end goaltenders, I wouldn't have a problem paying close to 8 mil for him to stick around. I'm not so sure about 8 years, because for a goaltender that isn't Vasilevskiy it could land them in hot water down the road if he falls off. not saying he will because he has showed to be a great goaltender, but by the time that contract is done he will be 35/36. maybe 6x8? 8.5?

Who says no
It interesting to me for sure. in my opinion i don't get what all the panic is from colorado fans about not having a bonified 2C. the route that i would go is slide compher into 2C and give him a chance. hes more than capable of being a two way second line center. no, hes not going to put up the same numbers as kadri or someone of higher offensive caliber, but I think its a much better idea to do one of these few options im going to list.
Newhook and Compher can battle it out for 2C but if either of them can't carry the load, then just slide Landeskog into the middle and split up him and Mackinnon. Avs are a deep team even after losing all of last years rentals, and they have a lot of options for guys who can play center well enough. The reason i don't see their 2C "problem" as being a huge problem, is because last year they proved they are a 4 line team and can rely on every line, rather than their top 6 or their top line carrying the entire team like an Edmonton, Boston or Calgary.

how do you figure that? yeah hes a better player but 2 is better than 1 considering they both were just a huge part of them winning a cup lol. Then what ? someone who doesnt deserve to play on the 4th line is going to be. hard pass on that take

Respect Tab. First line would be nasty. Im skeptical though. Goalie tandem would be a waste of cap, id just go with one or the other. Defense is pretty solid. Fourth line doesnt make much sense to me. I appreciate just accepting the challenge and not just ****ing in the comments about everything that sucks. Havent been a member here long but it seems like no team is the right team unless the person who is commenting made it lol.

hahaha what the hell is the OEL trade????!! firstly youre over the cap and nashville doesnt need another top 4 left handed defenseman especially at his horrid contract. Preds will be solid with the three lefties theyve got on the blueline now. Absolutely no reason to give up kunin and **** with the top 6s chem for an unneeded d man.
