Description

Detroit would be trying to add futures in any trade scenario, the closer to NHL ready the better. With Sandin and now Muzzin Liljegren should be less important of a piece. Saarijarvi gives them a RH D prospect back for the Marlies and he could still make it as a bottom pair RD.

Can't see Dubas including Liljegren in any deal for Glendening without Holland adding a very good sweetner. And Saarijarvi isn't enough. He's a smallish RHD.

I have a tough time putting a valuation on him. Billed as a draft top 10 offensive defenseman in his draft year, I am beginning to see why he fell pretty hard. His offense is slow to develop so far and the Leafs are starting to bury him on the depth chart. Maybe another pick needs to get added or give them Jensen as a rental for this year if they wanted some more depth for their playoff run but I think it’s close.
