      Yes, the tax benefit is real, but it nowhere close to that degree.

      Federal taxes are still way to high, so its not close to this much. At best you can get about a 13.3% benefit (from California to any non income tax state). Also players from other countries have to pay in their home country, so Americans are the only ones that really benefit. If we can keep electing the right people, we may one day have 0 federal income tax to, the way it should be.

      It's easy to understand why 1-2 mil can be accounted for in the tax benefit, and the cup favorite factor is only more incentive...

      Looking at the ugly contracts on other teams, it's safe to say Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat would be paid more than 5m and 5.3m/yr.
