Can't see the Wings adding EK more likely to add a couple of value pieces to start building his dressing room environment. A lot of work to be done in Detroit

I don't think they trade Glendening right away maybe at the TDL because Veleno will need time in the AHL to adjust.

Few points:

1. No Hronek? He's a lock to be in DET. He'll be there over Cholo.

2. Glendening has considerable value in the league (maybe not 2nd round value that KH wanted). I bet he gets moved for an early 3rd round pick next season at some point. He spent 66% of his faceoffs in the d-zone, winning 55% of his faceoffs (that's 68th in the league of all guys that took at least 1 FO this year, top 20 in guys that played regularly). That's top C level numbers for faceoffs.

3. Even with the injuries, someone will pay Karlsson 10.5+ for 6 years. Could it be DET? Maybe, but I think Yzerman would rather shoot for 2020 FA pool after figuring how what his team needs.

4. If you are going to go after a FA C, I'd rather have Brock Nelson than Kevin Hayes. Better numbers, better metrics, close to the same price. Hayes may be more available on the market, but Nelson is a better player (and only a few months older).

5. Veleno is definitely starting in the AHL, and probably on the W (both in the AHL and in the NHL). He's got top 9 C written all over him, but it's going to take a little time.

Rass is going to the AHL as his Jr team no longer has transfer rights--that was why he was in the NHL last year.
