Description
while i think patience with trouba and letting him come here as a UFA in one more season would be there optimum route, heres what i think a trouba trade would look like. Opens up a roster spot for Lindstrom to fill in as 3RD in 20-21, letting Green Walk/trading him at the deadline if out of playoff contention.

Veleno, Hirose, and Kuffner battle for the last spots on the roster.

Trade Daley if possible.

bury the heck out of Ericsson.

You know the best you are starting with Hronek and Mantha for Trouba.

Yeah but I don't think Hronek is going any where.

I don't believe the local media when they say a player (Trouba) is going to sign in Detroit. I haven't seen them get one right yet. I also think Trouba signing a big contract in Winnipeg to stay or for a sign and trade is unlikely as well. I also think some Jets fans feel the same because recently the mock trades involving trading Trouba signed have started to turn to trading Trouba RFA rights. I think at this point he signs a one year at most even if he is traded and next season he is a UFA. He might want to leave all the rumors behind and move away from Winnipeg and Detroit. Or he might go to the team offering the most money. So if Detroit wants him they better be ready to pay him because I don't think any player if they are smart go for a home town discount.

I'm not saying all of this or some of this is going to happen but it is a scenario that could happen that no one has talked about.

One thing I'd like to know is Hronek higher up the no trade list than Cholowski?

Higher imo. Cholowski is high too but Hronek is obviously right handed and that has a lot of meaning, he is better at transition, solid defensively and is putting up very good points for rookie. I expect Leafs' Liljegren to play similar style as Hronek for Leafs next year. Good both ways but could be better in every area of game which would obviously be developed over time. Hronek is really high on no trade list for Wings. But Cholo is not far off.
