Ristolainen is just not a very good defenseman its just that simple hes a #4 dman on a good team. hes been put in a #1 role for too long and has caused him to develop a ton of bad habits playing against competition he should never be on the ice against. ( the other teams best players every night)

maybe Risto can put all the tools together and turn his play around but up til this point in his career both advanced stats and eye test have shown he is not good in his own end at all. he is reckless and has very little hockey sense
