I’d try to lump a cap dump on the CBJ deal(Manning or Gagner) would give enough cap to bring in another middle 6 forward like Tanev cause I wouldn’t trust Yamamoto, Benson and JP to produce

Cbj needs to free up space to resign their UFA’s and Wenn had an under productive season so I feel he might be on his way out.

As for the 3 young guys I get what your saying, but Benson is flying under every bodies radar and could come up with more ready than most expect. As for JP if healthy and playing more than 8mins a night with players other than Lucic I think he’ll be fine

It’s mostly Yamamoto I worry about but could sign somebody like Carr or Accari for 3rd line minutes for fairly cheap. Adding Manning to CBJ trade clears 1.1M and still frees up 3.8M for CBJ or Gagner at 50% retention gives CBJ a familiar player who had great success in CBJ at 1.5M can replace Wennbergs bottom 6 spot

For yam he hasn’t been the offensive threat he was in his draft year, but what I’ve noticed about his game that I love is his feisty-ness. Hes probably not gonna be Gaudreau like he was projected but maybe a Gallagher-lite in terms of not backing down to anybody.

Although I do agree that moving more cap would be beneficial, I don’t think moving it to CBJ is an option plain and simple

I just don’t believe they’ll be able to resign all their UFA even with enough cap, so won’t be as tight on the cap as we think
