Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Carlo, Brandon [RFA Rights]
BOS
  1. Pionk, Neal
  2. Vesey, Jimmy
Additional Details:
I may have over paid Pionk, but I have a strange feeling that Trouba would be extremely expensive for NYR to acquire and Stevie Y now being in Detroit convinces Trouba to 100% sign long term there even though Trouba is from Detroit and doesn’t really need convincing. Wouldn’t be surprised if Trouba gets traded to NYR but he tells Gorton he won’t sign long term hence nullifying a trade. McCavoy isn’t getting traded, and Carlo will be option 3 for Gorton. Pionk might be closer to $2.5M range I still think he’s not a top 4 dman at least on NYR, but I don’t see Gorton trading Kreider for Carlo. I’d see Trouba or McCavoy but that’s not occurring.
2.
NYR
  1. Kapanen, Kasperi [RFA Rights]
  2. Nylander, William
Additional Details:
I am throwing this out there....
I am well aware Toronto is in cap hell and I am NOT expecting Nylander and Kapanen to come to NYR. This may not be the greatest of trades, so if it is that package, I made it a 1st for Nylander (TOR doesn’t have a 1) and if that package for Kapanen its a 2nd. Toronto needs $ for Marner and Kapanen, so if Nylander comes off the books it’s huge for them and if Kapanen most likely $4-$5M comes off it’s huge for them as well to sign Marner to maybe $11-$12M.
TOR
  1. Andersson, Lias
  2. Namestnikov, Vladislav
  3. Shattenkirk, Kevin ($2,350,000 retained)
  4. 2019 1st round pick (WPG)
  5. 2019 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Vlad has 1 year left and can be a help next season take either Kapanen or Nylander spot. He showed when playing with top tier talent he plays great. Shat at almost half retained is a solid deal.

Don't think Bruins trade Carlo. Although the Leaf trade is fair, it doesn't help the Leafs cap all that much. But Nylander for futures might to it. Andersson, if he still deemed a good NHL potential, and the two picks as you suggested.

Fabbro most likely won’t be moved by Poile, and Tolvanen definitely won’t be moved. Preds aren’t giving up their two of their best prospects for a top 6 forward.
As much as I would love to do the Carlo trade, I can’t see Boston accepting. Carlo is worth more to them than we think, so I bet they would decline too.
Toronto trade is interesting. I can’t see Nylander being traded after his monster extension though. I, for one, would not want his contract on my team, as it would be a long-lasting burden. He’s a great player though, so if Gorton wants him badly, he could go for him with a deal similar to this. Most likely Namestnikov or Shattenkirk would replaced with a solid and more consistent roster player.

If David Poile didn't want to give up Dante Fabbro and/or Eeli Tolvanen to acquire potential rentals in Matt Duchene and/or Mark Stone, there's no way he'll trade Tolvanen AND Fabbro for Kreider.
