Description
So there is a rumour the oilers are interested in Brown at the deadline so package him and sparks for a 3rd. The NYR trade gives them a 2 quality forwards and solid RHD prospect with upside for A 2nd pair RHD, a solid 6-7 dman, and solid mid 6 center and a struggling Forward. Then Namestnikov is flipped with Zaitsev and Marleau for Glendening and a 2020 2nd. Detriot might be interested seeing Yzermsn has had success with Russians, build teams that play to their style of game i know there is risk but I honestly see Yzerman taking it seeing if it works out he just got a top line forward that could be flipped for a late 1st at the deadline and 2nd pair RHD for a 4th line grinder and a late 2nd.

Like i said its a bit of a gamble but Namestnikov has been a 50+ pt winger and Zaitsev has been internationally and at the beginning of NHL carrer when put on the PP a 30+ pt RHD. so they have to talant and ability to generate pts in the right system which Yzerman is probably going to build in DET. But i could see the 2nd being conditional.

Yzerman already moved Namestnikov once when he was in TB, since he found him pretty useless without top tier linemates.

Zaitsev's contract is just bad. Plus knowing that DET already has Green, Hronek, Bowey and even Oliwer Kaski is rumored to be there in the system, they simply have no use for him.

And they don't really have the cap space to take Marleau. Also I don't believe NHL is allowing any more "Orpik" moves.

the league cleared the Caps seeing they didn't break any rules. Also Zaistev is not bad he just isn't been used properly I honestly don't want to trade him i just think Babcock refuses to use him on the PP even though he is proven as a solid PP QB and kept putting him with a mistake prone dman in Gardiner that needs a stay at home dman not a 2 way dman. Also Namestnikov is being brought in as a player that can be flipped at the deadline like i said so if Yzermans system can make him a 50+ forward again he can be flipped for a 1st at the deadline. Also, they can eat Marleau contract seeing Zetterberg and Fransen are on LTIR so they will have roughly 13 million after this trade to sign upgrades this offseason.

Yzerman already dealt Namestnikov out of Tampa, He's useless no way you're moving Marleau and Zaisev without a 1st round pick being attached to it, Just isn't happening. Detroit can't afford to take on $14 million in worthless contracts for them.
