Description

Stan's made mention that the Hawks will have a very active off season. For Better or Worse...I think we're seeing it right now. That isn't to say a trade or signing is still looming, but reports say Wedin has signed and that makes 11 players that couldn't have played last year in EITHER the AHL/NHL. He's COMPLETELY revamping Rockford. The Hawks also lucked out with the #3OA. I just think if no more BIG moves happen...Stan will feel like he's already been really active. All those signings didn't happen in the last few weeks, but Kurashev & Entwhistle were never playing in the AHL/NHL...so yes I'm counting those. I really believe he's sitting and waiting. LVK, CGY, & TOR are essentially over the cap...if they want to keep their talent. OK, what are you willing to give to shed. EDM is under new management...so who knows what Holland wants to do right now. I bet shedding cap is also on his list of priorities so that he can make an impact sooner rather than wait a year. McDavid isn't too happy right now either. Holland may want to keep him happy.

It needs to be a win / win for a trade to happen. I don't really want manning back at all, but I think he needs to be part of the deal for it to happen. Thanks for the feedback.

Bowman would never take Manning back. It would be a PR disaster for him.

If the hawks have cap space, they will spend it. This is a huge offseason. Last time the hawks had this much flexibility, they signed Hossa. I expect a big move with a couple subsequent moves to round it out. I'd even bet the 2020 1st will be in play at some point.
