RFAs using Evolving Wild's projections

Trade with EDM doesn't have to be for a first but the idea is futures to LA and Krug to EDM

Can buy out Miller for 800K if needed but provides good RHD depth which Bruins could use

There’s this weird theory that toffoli is really good. He isn’t. This trade stinks

He shot 3.45% last season, in expected numbers he had a similar season to JDB. Why do you think he's not good?

I don't like trading Krug though, I'd rather pay a little to dump Moore. I get the idea of Edmonton as a hand in between to fill team needs, but the Bruins have prospects that LA could be interested in that they can't fit in the lineup in any forseeable future

Toffoli just doesn’t move the needle for me. I think he would be maybe the 9th best forward on Boston? He’s just nothing in my opinion

Oilers aren't giving a first for a one year rental. Toffoli used to be good but not now.

He's 7th in WAR (with the 8 others being the obvious ones and Heinen, Coyle and Johansson), which places him above the last two names (and just below Krejci), and 5th in OWAR (just above Krejci). He does that without a great playmaker and with poor shooting luck. If he's used primarily offensively I think he'd look great on the team. If he's used as a two-way forward I still think he'd look good, but he is at the bottom of the tier in DWAR, just between but basically equal to Coyle and Johansson. You could either play Heinen on the top line and have a defensive juggernaut and use the 2nd and 3rd lines primarily as more offensive, or you could balance stuff out with Heinen on the 3rd and Toffoli on the 1st/2nd RW. I think he's a solid fit, and that a full year rental makes sense so you can later hand that money to JDB
