Possibly, a swap of 2 promising D men, both project to be top 4 material but neither has proven it at the NHL level yet. Carolina has a logjam at D right now, Brook is younger with an extra year on his contract. But maybe Montreal has to add a mid-round pick since Bean has the higher profile of being a first rounder and might be closer to the NHL today

I still don't think Carolina would go this route, but that's a pretty good argument.
