Nielsen is 35. I'd rather have Turris at 6 years younger for another 5 years. He's more likely to turn in a good season than Nielsen at this point. Nielsen is just a worse Bonino on the Preds team. Not really a player the Preds need.

I proposed this a while back, what about helm and a 4th for turris and a 2nd or a 3rd. Helms contract is smaller and less years so preds have to add to get rid of the turris contract. But I love the basis of this trade.

6 years of age makes a huge difference. Turris is far more likely to bounce back. I think Nashville could easily retain 750K and find someone to take his contract without having to take another bad one back. Rumor has it that Buffalo is interested. So Nashville doesn't do this
