So much can be done, you ppl just need to stop hanging on picks and Kadri
We drafted well for last 5 years. If i banalize, we have whole first Line from that draft ( never mind the positions ) :
Nylander - Matthews - Marner - Sandin - Liljegren ( both kids coming in next Season )
Then we have ppl for second line from "dark ages" and Trades :
Johnsson - Tavares - Kapanen - Rielly - Muzzin
Thats leaves you with third and fourth line to fill and third Pair. With the players mentioned above, we are set for next 5 years. Picks arent needed yet or putting it differently as i have before, if 2021 will be the first prospect to be drafted in 1st round, he will need three years to make it into Team, 2022 1st will need two years etcetc ( just like Sandin and Liljegren time span to make it is ) and thats with premise noone from upper 10 will get resigned, with 23,6y average.
So dump Kadri before he sees red again and we will be stuck with him till he walks, throw around them 1sts and require two Top Ds, fill the holes at Marlies with later picks, if some Johnsson or even Zetterberg derives from those 7th rounders, even better.
My take here, where im overpaying as crazy, building the Cup contending Team with D that will drive us past 17th GAA, 22nd SAA and 25th SCA.
