Description

Stan wants to improved the team via trade before looking for free agents to fill gaps. I know that Tor is trying to move Zaitsev for cap space and Marner, but if the trade for Murphy, that gives them a solid top 4 with Rosen filling in the bottom pair with Dermott. this move also frees up about 2-3 million in space for them to sign Marner.

Swap Kubalik and Caggiula, sign a penalty killing forward (Donskoi, Tanev, etc) for the bottom 6 and you're golden.

Toronto is going to want more than that for Willy, but we'll see what they are prepared to accept, given their cap struggles.

I'm all prepared to trade Nylander or Kadri for cap reasons. But taking back Murphy doesn't get enough value on the ice or the needed cap space differential to make worth it.
One of Boqvist or Beaudin (and more).....two RHD about to start their ELC. I believe would be what the Leaf would looking for.
