Description

Leafs can't sign Marner in most likelihood without trading other pieces and having a poor defence.
So maybe it's best not to overpay, get the four first rounder and have some cap space for 2020/21 .
Next year hope for the cap efficient Liljegren and Sandin are NHL ready, and 7.5m cap available with the expiring contracts of Muzzin and Hainsey

I have seen a lot of weird things on here but giving a 28 year old with 67 NHL games under his belt nearly 3 million a year on a 3 year deal tops it all.
