Description
Would the Bruins do this trade?
I don’t know how much they value Studnicka, but he is a solid prospect in my eyes, and Kreider is someone who they could use in their top 6. A 2nd line of Kreider, Krejci, and Debrusk would be excellent, and it would solidify their forward group. They would easily have one of the best top 6 groups in the league which would make their cup chances even better, and they would be able to sign Kreider for a lesser price than any other team. I figured that since their window is now, they would be willing to give up future picks and prospects for immediate success. Just my reasoning behind the trade, no need to attack if you disagree.
In this scenario, Ryan Strome could be traded if the Rangers feel that one of Howden and Anderson could take on the 2nd line role, but in the likely event that they can’t, Strome is kept. All RFAs are bridged (except Trouba) to assess if they are truly worth big extensions. I could see DeAngelo and Buchnievich getting moved in the future when there are better replacements ready. For Buchnievich, that would be Kakko and Kravstov, and for Deangelo that would be Lundkvist
AHL system has many fringe NHL players to help the younger players, such as Studnicka develop.
That’s why Boo Nieves is in the AHL and Hathaway is signed.

I’m doubtful as BOS wouldn’t give that up for Stone last year. Maybe someone outside of their top 2 prospects (eg Steen/Lauko/Frederic) and a mid round pick. Unless NYR takes on $$ then maybe it’s a first.

Easy no from B’s. Don’t need another LW. If Kreider was a right shot RW. Maybe.

no way you get stud and a pick out of boston for Kreider. They think this kid is gong to be a well, a stud. Boston has aging centers and stud is the future for them to replace krejci. I like Kreider a lot a lot but if boston does that they are desperate.

Kreider has played the right side before but it makes sense.

Tbh I didn’t know much about Studnicka, I just heard that he would be a top 6 C which is something the Rangers are looking for which is why I traded for him. Didn’t realize he’s that good.
