I think getting that 2nd from Anaheim is a stretch, Johnson almost negates all positive value from Bjugstad but Ritchie would definitely allow us to trade Rust for a D which is good!

I don't get the ANA trade, Bjugstad is usually worth about a second, maybe a bit more, and JJ for Ritchie is just no, and EDM says thanks for fixing their goalies past this year, and giving up a pick that nearly covers the value of who you're getting back (I'd give up a 4th and later pick for Pulju or a third, not Jarry+...)

ANA would still get paid, to take on a bad contract, not pay the other team and they don't need to take on cap (they can just not put eaves/Kessler on ltir) and they definitely don't need a 3C, Henrique steel lundestrom Terry Comtois and Rakell that could be top 9, and play C (some will be wingers obv, and some will be in the AHL, but they're fine for centers) and I'd show the league that I'm willing to run 3 goalies if it means getting more than like a 4th back for Jarry (I would take a 4th for Desmith though) and yeah I like the idea of a rust for McCabe trade

Is McCabe, really that much better that you would ttade Rust out for him?
I don't think he is. On top of it his last two seasons are 50 game seasons.
