The cap isn’t going to go up less than it did the year before (when it is a down year). It will at least match the rise and go to $83.5 and probably go closer to $84 million. Either way, the bolts are in for a world of hurt next year.

If im them, as soon as possible I start asking Killorn/Palat/Johnson/McDonagh/Gourde to submit a list of teams theyd play for. The first one that needs to go is Palat and McDonagh(to make room for Sergachev, id target a cheap RHD as a return)

Greetings earthlings .. some comments:

1. Firstly glad we resigned Vaz .. he a stud.. 9.5M? .. I was thinking more 8M for 8 years.. Vaz should send Bobrosky a Xmas Card for the rest of his life.. Panthers overpaid and it cost Tamp a 1M or so annually .. BUT big picture this is great and also doesn't effect 2019 cap!!!

2. HOWEVER 2020 is a mess .. I have been saying Tampa about 20M short in 2020 and Vaz would take up nearly half of that. Right as usual .. assuming Point gets a 5 year 9M type deal .. Tampa has no choice but trade 3 to 5 veterans.. it simple math.

So who getting traded?

1. EITHER Serg or Mc Donough .. Cernek a keeper before these 2

2. ALL of the friggen shrimps .. Johnson Palat Killorn and Gourde .. Gourde has ruined Tampa .. a position I hold and will continue to hold .. not trading him before NTC kicked in was GM malpractice.

The equation is really that simple .. you have to rely on guys to waive their NTC .. as there is not enough money

One thought here though .. is that if it is TRULY a Cap or bust year for Tampa and team will be broken up without I cup .. ie get rid of Stamkos .. at end of 2019 .. if Tampa trades say a Stamkos and Killorm for picks .. then u save 14M .. honestly they should do that anyway. But that kind of step is ONLY way to keep all the young guys who I like alot.

CUP OR STARS GONE .. that is Tampa 2020
