Description

This basically consists in giving Cernak and Sergachev normal bridge deals. But also in giving Cirelli a 1 year, 1.5M deal (à la Labanc) so that he'll be RFA again in the 2021 offseason, when both Palat and Johnson's contracts will become M-NTC (16 teams trade clause).

This all also includes Point taking a 3 years deal this offseason.

I don't see another way of keeping all Cirelli, Sergachev and Cernak otherwise, unless one of Palat or Johnson agrees to waive his clause one year in advance next offseason.
Ultimately, there still would be the possibility to buy out Palat's contract, which would give another 2M in cap space in 2020

Chances of above are zero .. 2 of above players need to go .. in perfect world it 2 of 4 shrimps .. that would free 10M .. if not probably Sergachev needs to go and I would keep Joseph .. all could have been avoided by trading Gourde before July 1 .. GM error of the year that will come due in 2020

To be honest I don't think that BriseBois would have kept Gourde unless he has a way to make it so that we can keep Cirelli (no discussion, we keep him 100%), Cernak (more valuable than Serg ATM for the Bolts) and Sergachev.
The way I see it is: Joseph is the scapegoat, the easiest to replace with a prospect form our pool. And if it comes down to being able to keep only two RFAs, then yes, Sergachev will probably go too. Cirelli and Cernak are way too valuable to our core
But it will def be interesting to see what happens, especially with RFAs getting more and more pricey, offer sheets back on the menu and this tight of a cap space.

Again, I think he has something up his sleeve in order to get rid of one between Johnson and Palat. If not, that will go down as a big error, I agree.
