Description

Petan- Might as well get some return. Oil could use some depth.

Miller/Hutch- Rental, I think 2 picks is fair particularly if ANA is not making the playoffs around the season midpoint.

Walker/Ceci - This is one where I'm not positive. Ceci isn't much of a return but I think 2 B/B+ prospects with upside is worth Walker. Ceci provides immediate rental return for the Kings with little negative impact if they don't keep him past this year.

Edmundson - Rental for the depth / to make a shutdown pair with Muzzin in key situations. Marincin could be swapped with Gravel for this deal and just provides a 7/8 for Carolina as they don't really need the depth. Shore provides some decent depth for Carolina's push. I think all told this is a pretty decent return for a player Carolina is going to let walk in the summer.

That's an overpay to the kings and I'm not sure why they'd want a rental player when they are pretty much last in the league

Pretty sure Carolina will try keep Edmundson, or wait and get a better return. Oilers, would rather give you a minor leaguer or prospect then a pick but it's alright

If walker is good enough to play on the top pair on a playoff team and is young enough to be on his ELC he is worth more. Also why would a rebuilding team like LAK trade such a player?

(I don't really know much about him)

i think all this is good except for the carolina trade. its probably better to keep the picks/marincin and shore when holl is probably almost as good but they dont have to give anything up to get him. i also imagine sandin comes up near the playoffs so they wont have a spot for someone
