Here we go again, people who never watch him play talking out of their ass. Hes not great but not so bad that we have to trade the world for him. he has played like a solid 3rd pairing D. Overpaid by like maybe 1-1.5mill

he's pretty bad. the data doesn't lie. He can't move the puck at all. Team just gets stuck in their own zone the entire time they are out.

Hes not bad, hes just not great. Theres a difference between the two. He is serviceable as a 3rd pairing with sheltered minutes and does a good job at PK. Pitt has killed 14/15 PKs and he has played a ton of minutes in those. Everyone said we couldnt move Guddy cuz hes basically as bad as Johnson and yet we got a pick and an AHL guy for him without taking on another contract.

No he's bad. the point is to get better. The fact is the Pittsburgh penguins are outscored during 5 on 5 situations more than any other dman, and also outshot and out-possessed when JJ is on the ice. Factor in his 3.25 million cap hit and the fact that he's going to be 33 they should do whatever they can to move his contract. Also you can thank Matt Murray for the PK
