Description

I am not a Shark fan, but clearly the Sharks are going to be handcuffed with NMC and LT salaries.
How can this team become more competitive?
I am interested if this works.

Additional Details:

The purpose of the this trade is to bring San Jose a young 2C and a young defenseman who can stabilize their back end.
There are not many chips which the Shark can used to trade. I personally think Meier could bring a draft pick as well. I chose Columbus because the team is having trouble scoring., and they could trade for Meier.
Any Shark & Blue Jacket fans, tell me if this helps both clubs.

MTL could offer Poehling, Brook and Lehkonen for Meier. More potential but younger... depends on how the sharks perceive the end of this season

This is not a good trade. Meier is young and much upside. Wennberg has struggled mightly and This make our team worse. We have Couture - Hertl - Thornton down the middle. Wennberg would be useless unless put on line 3 but we lose the best player in the deal. Wennberg and savard don’t get Meier alone.

Just awful, if Meier leaves I want Dubois back. Wennburg is a 3rd liner at best and while I like Murray, hes not needed at all.
