Description

I've seen a bunch of trades recently that are basically giving away Rasmussen for nothing. Why would a rebuilding team give away a 20yr old player with 5 years left of control, who is in the AHL (and was doing pretty well before getting injured), for a roll of the dice 2nd round pick or garbage. He isn't Saar (who ran out of development time), or Regula (who was jumped by a number of prospects), this is a guy in a position that the team needs (and has no depth available).

It's funny how the 2017 draft is turning out (where a bunch of the 1st round picks are still playing in the AHL).

Signed the AHL RFAs to $1mm out of convenience (especially since it won't affect the cap).

Still not a playoff team, but getting closer for sure.

Because people want instant gratification and think if a former 1st rounder isn't scoring 30 goals by the time he's 20, he's a bust.

Very true. Don't like to predict that though. It makes Erne's or Perlini's spot tenuous.

I think steve adds atleast a decent dman to this group to help. A guy like edmunson or kevin millar in boston could make an impact and help these young guys. millar would be prefect to baby sit cholo having done it a bunch with krug in boston.
