These trades are absolutely awful for the Ducks, both individually and collectively.
We are giving up 6 -- count 'em, six -- young players, all on the upside of their careers, plus a proven useful depth player for three mature UFA's plus two questionable prospects who are more highly rated than only Sherwood? And into the bargain, we're giving up two seconds and a third for a third and a fourth?
The silliest trade of all is Lewis for Sherwood. I like Lewis as a character player, but the Ducks have three right wings who are superior to him now (plus fourth-liner Rowney) and he's definitely in the twilight of his career. And that's not to mention the fact that the Kings and Ducks will never be trade partners.
The Ducks aren't making the playoffs this year, and probably don't want to come close, so paying prohibitive prices for aging veteran rentals is simply -- I'll say misdirected, in lieu of using some more offensive characterization.
Sorry, I can't help but say it -- this post is your absolute worst ever.
