The trades make no sense at all. Filppula and a 3rd rounder for a first rounder from NYI? Texier from CBJ? Turris plus picks for Ehn? Don't even get me started about the EDM trade. No way Kenny Holland takes that deal. He wants at least a first for Puljujarvi, not a bunch of has beens like Glendening/AA

No one is giving up a 3rd for Helm maybe a 4th if Detroit retains half his cap hit. No way Detroit wants Chiasson they are better off keeping Glendening. Neal is having a good season but over half of his points are from the power play. Neal is 32 with 3 more seasons @ $5.75M he is going to be hard to move so Detroit really has no interest in him. Benning isn't really an upgrade for the Wings at RD with the prospects they have. Khaira does look like a solid bottom 6 player but Detroit has Helm and Abdelkader on basically unmovable contracts they are stuck with them leaving little room for Khaira. That leaves JP who in my opinion isn't a NHL player. I think keeping Svechnikov is a better play than bringing in JP. I think Detroit likes Fabbri and has no plans to trade him but I'm sorry he and Khaira aren't even close to Texier and Wennberg. Now with NYI, Nashville are basically cap dumps and to this point Yzerman has never taken on a cap dump.
