Taking advantage of desperate teams to increase value*

Also, Strome trade could be compared to Miller trade depending on how desperate Buffalo are to make the playoffs which they should

Already been reported Kreider should be worth a 1st+B prospect, best player on the rental market which creates bidding war
Dallas needs to win and NYR adds Fast on top off that

Vegas needs a top-4 RHD and future goaltending, have a surplus on forwards and draft picks
DeAngelo have slight more value then Tuch and Georgiev should be worth a borderline 1st

No team is desperate enough to pay a first for Ryan Strome.

We don’t know that
Miller got a 1st playing on better teams through his nhl career then Strome who’s not far behind in Nhl career points playing on worse teams
Teams have payed 1st’s for worse

Strome as of today: 469GP 238p
Miller when traded to Vancouver: 435GP 237p
Drafted same year
Both can play center and wing
Buffalo in same seat as Vancouver was then
Same conditions on pick

Almost certain that most people in this site would rather have Miller over Strome
