If you consider your three best forwards and two best defensemen untouchable, I don't think that there's a package from what's left that would impel Steve Yzerman to take on Okposo for you.

Which is why you 100% make your peace with him playing on the 4th line or sitting in the press box for several years or until the injuries land him on ltir. We have too many holes on our abysmal roster to have ti pay any kind of premium to move out a winger. It sucks but thats the way it is.

Why is Detroit agreeing to take Okposo?

And the Winnipeg trade is horrible imo
Roslovic & Perrault are average bottom6 forwards
U don’t need to trade Risto for that, can just sign UFAs of that quality or give up mid round picks

I also don’t love the Toffoli or Granlund ideas
Both declining guys we don’t want here on long term deals

Mitts for Gostisbehere is an interesting idea though
