Kelly and Joe can figure out any imbalances with draft picks....I just wanted to include the two main principles.

I had heard that there was a bit of a rift with Joe and Nikita back in the day. Not sure if that was true and if it was, not sure what it was about. But I would have to assume contract. If so, perhaps Joe doesn't want to deal with NZ again this summer.

Well i assume it was like any free agent and GM, player wants more money and Gm doesn't want to give more. I don't think there was any real issues. He's playing for a longer contract right now but i don't see us trading him for a lower level center. Eakins and compher play the same game, we don't really need another one.

I think this is a big downgrade in value for Colorado. Even if there is some bad blood between Zadorov and management you could get a better return than Eakin.
