If Marleau cost a 2nd and 3rd then Thornton would be at least one 2nd.

Marleau cost a 3rd that turns into a 2nd if the Pens win a cup. Nobody wanted Thornton which is why he's still on the Sharks.

Well I'm sure he would've wanted to go to the Pens. Getting a 6th for Thornton is better than nothing and if the Pens were willing to do it the Sharks probably would have done it.

They weren't interested. If Wilson could have moved him to a contender that wanted him, he would have. Look at how he handled Marleau and Dillon.
