overpaying gus - I think he could get a comparable to the ekholm contract AAV with less term - so $3.75m for 4 years maybe. He could get more because free agency and whatnot, but I wouldn't want to give him anymore than that.

True, it is a bit of an overpayment. But he is better than what 99% of people say on here though. It was a good trade by CGY. He did after all lead the team in ice time in his very first game. I didn't get to see it, but must have done something right.

If rumors around Columbus are true And Andy is still upset with his last contract negotiations then I take that trade. He’s noted publicly that he’s willing to sign long term but behind the scenes it seems murky.
