We are also trying to clear a logjam at right defender not add another one.

All in all I like this a lot.
I would maybe acquire one veteran winger to support the younger guys and provide some competition but overall this is decent.

I wouldn’t mind giving laine one more year to see if he can make it stick in a second line role. However if we do move on from him, I won’t be too upset.

Jarmo should be spending his final days signing marchenko to an 8 year extension like you have here. If that’s his last thing as a gm here I’ll be pretty happy.

Also adding lindholm even for the money and term would be a good idea. He’s a 1b on a contender and won’t block Fantilli as he can slot behind him fairly easily.

This is extremely false.
The original reporting was he was homesick. Didn’t matter about location.
The new reporting is that he is super happy and has done “a complete 180” and is fully committed to the blue jackets. That is a quote from his agent.

That works for me. Bean has played very well this year and if partnered with shut down guy like guddy he can kinda pop off in a bottom pair / 2nd pair role.

I personally still have the value on the three as boqvist, bean, peeke from most to least value. But if the needs are the other two over boqvist I’m game.
