Allen should get more than that this offseason. Teams like Washington and Carolina who want to compete may offer a good piece if Allen continues to play well.

That term for Pietrangelo would be a nightmare. Let him walk and build the team around Parayko.

If it costs the Red Wings a a 5th for Allen, Yzerman on the line the second the Blues repeat as champs or are eliminated. Allen is worth more.

Allen is worth more than a 5th. I could see him going for a late 2nd (highest) or mid 3rd (lowest). There's so many teams that could use his services, it just depends if the Blues are willing to lose a decent backup for that return.

There is absolutely no way that Steen approves a deal to a team like LA. I could only see him waiving his clause if he had a chance to go back home to Winnipeg, other than that, he means way more to the Blues for his leadership. If St. Louis is going to cut payroll, they will look at Bozak in the off-season.
