Would Nashville consider something along these lines

Why would they trade RJ after giving up a High Drafted Defensman who was a Project #1 OA most of the year but fell 3 spots because COL,FLA and TBL were all looking for Centers at the time and all chose right as they got their Franchise players (Drouin got TBL Sergachev and he'll be a Franchise player for them )

My Point is if you want Johansen you got to offer value
Right now NSH biggest hole is 2nd RD and they could use some young RW Goal Scorer

IF MTL was serious about Johanson i think Petry retained 1m cap and Caufield is the cost
one 40 point season doesnt make him diminished in value as at 27 he's just about to hit the half way point in his prime years .
He'd play a bigger offensive role here infront of Danault who will benefit offensively playing vs Middle 6 match ups

TBH I want Weber+ for Duchene (142857 retained)

Nashville would say no. They like MTL have struggled to find true 1c and 2c’s to the pt of literally over paying for RJ, MD and Turris, why would they want to get weaker down the middle? Also imo Drouin is one of the most overrated assets in the NHL, i think Domi and Tartar are much better.

You just think you do. Duchene is one of the nicest guys off the ice, and on the ice he seriously in terms of skill sets is arguably a top 10 player but I’ve never seen another player literally get so bad into his own head his teammates start to dislike him, and under no circumstances because of that is he a 1C.

I didn't get any of that but I'm saying this because it takes Weber's recapture off of NSH
