Sure, let's trade Kerfoot to the Devils considering he spent an extra year in college to avoid playing for the Devils who drafted him in one of two positions where they are actually ok in the pipeline for a RD under term with no RD prospects projected to go to the NHL level.

I get it but Kerfoot has 0 choice in where he could be traded, he has contract and 0 trade leverage or any clause of any sort.
You've posted several times claiming NJ has no need for the Leafs so called third liners except NJ is a disaster and all three of Johnsson, Kerfoot and Kapenen would all sit Top 6 in NJ with next to no competition to unseat them. Severson meh a medicore RHD

If I guy has gone to some lengths to avoid playing for the organization, it's a good bet he's really not interested. Even if he has no choice in the matter, it's probably not worth giving up assets for a guy who doesn't want to be there and just hoping he sucks it up. For a mediocre RHD, you sure do seem interested in acquiring him and even though Johnsson/Kerfoot/Kapanen would all slot in "with no competition", you're not giving up Kapanen here.

Kerfoot doesn't play on the right side and is not better than Bratt, Goose, Hughes or Nico. So he would not be in the top 6. The team is bad because of gaping holes in the line up. It makes 0 sense to add to positions of strength and get worse where you have holes.
