I'm not sure what else, but Buffalo needs to add something. A B-prospect or something. Zuccarelo might have an awful deal, but he's going to produce well alongside Eichel or whoever they find as the #2C. Brodin is very much a quality piece that appears to be sold for pennies on the dollar here. Okposo is effectively dead weight and Ristolainen isn't worth half of what most Sabres fans think he's worth.

All that for Mittelstadt and a 2nd Round Pick? It just doesn't feel like enough, nor does the move itself make a ton of sense for the Wild: Ristolainen now competes with Spurgeon and Dumba for powerplay time, Casey might be a center at the NHL level, and Okposo is again, nothing. If the play is to bring in a young center and picks, you're likely better off trading Zuccarelo for Okposo, a pick, and an A-prospect, while trading Brodin elsewhere for a quality package.

Terminating Dubnyk's contract seems odd. There are 19 teams he can be traded to, and not one of them needs a goaltender? There's something to be had there.

Take out the 2nd and swap out Zuccarello with Rask or Sturm and I'd be more interested.
    Buffalo needs center help.

You may be right on Dubnyk and I hope Guerin would pursue a trade first but if nothing is found this is what i would do with him.
This would be 1 of the first moves my next move would involve a Dumba trade so that's why I want risto.
Zuccarello can't really be used as a 4th liner and doesn't fit the Wild plus Wild have young guys I would rather see get top 9 minutes. Okposo has a year shorter contract and can be dumped on the 4th line until he is ready for LTIR.
But you may be right about asking Sabres to add.
