Description
Assuming cap stays at 81.5 for next season (Thanks Corona)

With TB cap crunched, I don't see how TB can sign BOTH Cirelli and Sergachev. So looking for TB fan input on what they see as a good trade with DET. I would love to get Cirelli here, as DET is in dire need of a 2C (among lot of other things). I'm thinking the trade can't involve Larkin/Mantha, because it's a cap hit back that TB can't handle. So my thought is the trade would have to be for futures, (picks/prospects), correct? Would taking a bad contract with Cirelli or Serg help with reducing the ask back? I would think so.

Couple of possible trades (both won't happan, just one or the other)- let me know what you think TB fans. Please don't kill me on the return for my trades, more looking for what you guys would suggest.

Or maybe I'm bat **** crazy and TB will sign both without help from other teams, and shove this whole idea up my hoop.

neither of those trades are remotely close.

dont forget, there are 28 other teams in the league too. the only options arent staying in tampa or go to detroit.

you also didn't even sign cirelli and sergachev who would likely put you over the cap.

That's a no to both TB trades. The value is extremely lacking, Palat and Johnson aren't bad contracts in any way and won't need to be compensated, not to mention they're very unlikely to waive their full NTCs in order to go from a top contender to the worst team in the league.

Sergachev/Cirelli will most likely cost you Hronek+. Can't see TB moving both. Maybe one of them, but not both.

Weirdest thing in this post though is the fact that you didn't sign either of Cirelli or Sergachev lol.

Very true - I didn't sign them, oops. But like i said, I wouldn't be trading for both, only one. So both would put me over the cap. I have enough space to sign one of them....

Thank you for the actual suggestion justaBoss - that's more of what I was looking for, what would it take from a TB fan perspective.

I agree. Now I wouldn't trade Hronek for Cirelli and I most likely wouldn't trade for Hronek for Sergachev.

I agree with that as well but you'd have to assume that Detroit would get first crack at players coming out of TB the same as TB would most likely get first crack coming out of Detroit.
