You might want more than 18k cap space so you can have a full 23 man roster

A 22 man roster is fine, especially because the Barracuda play at the same rink. Girgensons and Khudobin also might be able to be signed for slightly cheaper.

With 18 k and only 22 players we would be forced to put anyone and everyone on injured reserve in order to bring up any players from the ahl to fill in. This is not wise
