Hard to accept from NJ point of view, but also quite hard to decline.

I'd probably decline it though. Just don't see the point in moving Hughes, despite his first year was a bit of a disappointment.

Yup agreed, tried to make it work for both. But unless New Jersey sees somebody they really like at 12th and draft another center, cant see them going for it

I'm not writing him off at all and wouldn't trade him at all, was just suggesting a trade I'd make, I'm skeptical of Hughes to be honest and think it'd take Connor to get Hischier which is why I suggested it.

I'd also trade Connors in a blockbuster for Eichel in a heartbeat.
