Description
-If Kovy's ready to take a cheap deal again I'm good for giving him a two year deal, low risk.
-Blackwood and Leivo's signatures are very Bergevin's style of UFAs he targets in "July", good bottom six guys.
-With another offseason of training I'm convinced Lindgren can help the team next year.

I know there's lots of money left in the bank and most likely I could offersheet a dude or trade for a dump but didn't feel like it.

Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Bean, Jake
  2. Suzuki, Ryan
  3. 2021 7th round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
Montreal gets an NHL ready LD, pushes back their logjam at center a couple years further and Bergevin loves 7th rounders.
CAR
  1. Hudon, Charles [RFA Rights]
  2. Poehling, Ryan
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (WSH)
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
New start for Hudon could give big dividend to Carolina, Poehling's a lot closer to the NHL than Suzuki and the Hurricanes are pretty good with their 3rd rounders.
2.
MTL
  1. Beckman, Adam
  2. 2020 4th round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
I don't know if I'll get shredded for this one as I'm not sure of Beckman's value. He was the leading scorer in the OHL last year but is still a couple years away from the league, I give the Wild a little bump in the draft for the upside difference.
MIN
  1. Mete, Victor [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
If the Wild goes out and trade Brodin, Mete could slide right in with Dumba as a cheap top 4 defender. He'll be able to learn from a player that play's a pretty similar game in Spurgeon.

If you drop Suzuki and Hudon, there's a deal to be made there. Obviously things would need re-arranging, but Carolina aren't giving up Suzuki for nothing. However, Bean to MTL is a viable move. Not for Poehling per se, but in general.

Wild aren't trading Beckman for that. They have enough defensive depth that moving Brodin wouldn't gut their defense, so they don't need Mete.

So basically the only thing correct in this deal is trading Bean to Montreal pretty much.

As I explained I do not know Beckman's exact value, would you mind sharing what the Wild fanbase would be tempted by?

Without having any idea what the Habs have in their prospect system, their biggest need is a top 6 center. They really only have Khovanov in their pipeline as a guy who projects to be a top 6 player. That being said, I think Beckman is one of the most valued prospects they have so they wouldn't let him go cheaply.

Uh, sort of? Poehling for Suzuki is a lateral move, and Bean for Hudon and 2 3rds just isn't right value wise. Idea is right, execution is not.
