Puljujarvi might have more upside than Faksa to be completely honest, but Faksa is a young established 3c so I'm not sure Dallas does this

I honestly wouldn't mind. We have Dellandrea in the wings that supposed to be similar type player. Our only issue is who to save during the expansion draft. We don't want a solid 4th defender unprotected.

Benning is the kind of 4th you can leave unprotected. It’s much easier for him to fly under the radar than a Pietrangelo, Barrie, Shattenkirk, etc. that you could get off the free agent wire.

And if it’s blatantly obvious that Benning is who Seattle would take, Dallas can always trade a pick/prospect to get Seattle to take someone else, and it would be far cheaper to do that with someone like Benning as opposed to one of the free agents listed above
