Description
Dube and Kylington are just breaking into the league, they take the roster spots left behind by the departure of Cirelli and Cernak. Pelletier and the 1st added to compensate for the discrepancy in value.

2nd proposal is along the same lines but just for Cirelli

3rd one the Flames take Johnson too if he can be convinced to waive and get an opportunity in the Flames top 6. Lowered the pick compensation because taking on the TJ contract carries risk and is expensive.

I know in a perfect world Tampa would rather keep all their players, but the flat cap is going to take a bite out of their roster.

The Flames need another good two way top 6 C, and a top 4 right handed Dman, so those two RFA's would really be a fit in Calgary.

Interesting, as a fan of both teams I'm conflicted. Also Johnson doesn't have negative value.

OK, so if the proposal is somewhat palatable without Johnson, what is Johnson's worth that needs to be added?

I agree he doesn't have negative value, I think he'd do well in a top 6 role again, but I don't think his value will be all that high.

I think he could get a 2nd by himself.
So the first trade, plus Johnson for a 2nd

What is your view on the original offer? Dube was very good in training camp as well as the exhibition game and looks like he has the tools for a top 6 winger role. I personally think its a pretty solid offer for both sides.
