Description
I don’t think the Risto trade will happen as sabres fans likely want more for him but this is probably the most I would give for him. Keep in mind the 2nd is pretty early (43 oa) and Stanley is a b prospect that can be replaced with a different one.

Demelo was a very good fit but ristolainen provides a big feared shot from the point that pionk doesn’t have and a whole lot of physicality. Yes he is a bit of a liability in his own end but Edmundson or morrissey should be able to make up for it.

The fact that I, a jets fan, made a trade for ristolainen does not mean that the ristolainen for Roslovic/ehlers/copp trades start again. Ristolainen isn’t that important enough to the jets to move those pieces for him.

Imo, this team is at least top 3 in the central if not a contender.

If Roslovic can grow into the 2c role by the 2021 playoffs, this team is a contender no questions asked imo.

That offer would be fine for me. I think it’s time for both sides to move on from each other.

I think you're a little heavy value wise on the Risto trade. One of Stanley or the 2nd to go with the 5th should be enough. Personally I wouldn't do it as Risto is the last thing the Jets need.

I have a feeling the new Buffalo management would take anything for Ristolainen. They are more analytic driven.

I can understand why, it's a good part of the reason I don't want him along with his contract.
