yes but he is 30, Marner is 23. Dman usually slow down after the age of 30 with a few exceptions. In general leafs need a RD not another lefty as rn and for the future the leafs have.

Rielly at the top, Muzzin as the 2nd, and Dermott being the third with (Sandin, Kokkonen, Filip,etc) all being future LD men in our system. Plus Sandin is already showing signs of being a top 4 and could surpass Ekholm in a year or two.

Now if the trade included Fabbro and other assets thats something to think about as while Fabbro rn isnt as good he is around marners age and can develop with the dcore under muzzins guidance.

Marner is still young and is a 90point winger and with time is only going to get better so if he was to go in a trade a better package than that would need to happen
