Description
Not really sure what the asking price of Laine would be, but you get a good RHD, a 1st, and one of the top scoring prospects along with sending a bad contract back. Columbus is tight with the cap and a big body would be nice in Montreal. Domi would need to sign an extension to make this work but MIN gets 2 players to boost offence and the Habs replace Petry, and the oilers get a 20+ goal scorer for the wing. What would you tweak on any of these deals?

That'd be a disappointing return for Laine, a rental, a 1st that won't be an NHL player for probably three years at the earliest and Caufield, meh, you keep Laine if this is the best you can get for him but he should be untouchable anyway.

it's not enough to get Laine. We may as well sign Hall or Hoffman. Trade Petry to Winnipeg for a 1st and a prospect.

Yeah that's a really bad idea for Edmonton.

Congratulations! You've made maybe the least-insulting Josh Anderson offer I've seen here! (And if that Dumba trade doesn't work out, we might be interested in moving a package that includes Anderson and David Savard for Domi, assuming we can balance it on both sides.)

You get a "Grape Job" sticker because this is actually a great job.
