I think WIN declines, JVR is just too overpaid. He's a good 2nd liner but 7 mil for 3 more years is 1 year too much at 2 mil too much. I like the idea if Sanheim plus Frost however.

I did the other side and they have the cap space to do it with their top 6 core guys all locked up on good deals for next 4-6 years and JVR would expire before them. Also have expansion draft but yeah JVR contract is rough sucks bc I think he can still be a good player just not under AV. He put up 27 goals in 66 games before AV came here.

How many more years does JVR have left? because I really like this deal and think the jets should do it.

3 nothing too crazy. All your core guys Connor, Ehlers, Scheifele, Morrissey and Hellebuyck are locked up further then his contract I personally think it works out well.

Then I would do it. Yes his contract is maybe around 2 million too much but he is still a pretty solid middle six winger and the other pieces coming back are obviously very helpful for the Jets. Great deal!
