ya i was just messing around with numbers in a spreadsheet, the bad cap for $ tradeoff depends on what the cost is to replace their contribution. I figure eriksson could be replaced by a player making ~1.5 million a year, and zaitzev ~2 million a year. change those numbers and the % retention that makes sense changes, so I could see 1-for-1 making sense.

Best case scenario by letting Markstrom go instead of overpaying and not trading for OEL!
