Description
As much as I’d love for the Bruins to make a trade to clear more cap space, get a decent player via trade, and or sign a big fish in FA I don’t see them doing much more. This is probably the most realistic scenario given comments made about FA and that they will most likely to fill the LD from within.

They go into the season with that defense it’s a wasted season.

In Sweeney’s latest Zoom call he said that they will continue to explore different avenues to improve the club, but they have not reached out to Pietrangelo and will most likely look from within to fill the LD which means Zboril or Vaakanainen if they don’t resign Chara and they even said that their RD is not a priority. With signing Smith they got a RW right shot with some size. They most likely don’t want to pay for Hall as they want to be under the top end of the cap. He said that Grzelcyk will most likely take on a bigger role. You’re right the Atlantic Division will eat them alive as well as the rest of the league.

I agree (although it might be what ends up happening). It would be one thing if they were hard to the cap, but to drop the puck with that group and still have $2.7 mil to work with would be tough to understand.
Also, I would rather Studs get 18 minutes of ice time in Prov then get pushed around on the 4th line for 9 minutes a night.

Don’t believe it for a second.

They were never in on Petro. Too much and no need.

Hall is down to Bruins or Preds. If they sign Hall you can bet Debrusk gets dealt for LD or picks which get turned into LD.
