In my talks with Danault it became clear that I had to make a choice. Keep him for the year or find a deal that made sense for us now.
Contract talks blew off and I decided to move him with a package to Florida who’s in need of just about everything right now. Basically beyond Ekblad and Barkov they’re gonna be doing some major retooling and this trade helps them get there.

The only actual good piece in that package is Danault. Danault and some scraps won’t get you Huberdeau

So basically Danault and a bunch of scraps for Jonathon Huberdeau i don't think so, Who's Barlow? It's Barkov and that doesn't even come close to getting Huberdeau. Think one of Suzuki/Kotkaniemi+Romanov for starters.
