Gaudreau still probably holds a little more trade value than Forsberg, but the difference between them isn't Sissons. Roy and Kylington aren't positive assets for NSH either, so the Preds would decline this.

Cal Petersen is our goalie of the future and as Jonathan Quick goes into the twilight, he's a fine backup. We wouldn't spend more than a fifth on Rittich.

Honestly Forsberg is overrated imo. He was supposed to be a 40 goal, point per game guy and that never happened, and everyone’s gotta stop saying it will happen when he hasn’t come close to that. He’s never had a point per game season and his career average point pace is 63 points in a full season, plus he’s more injury prone. He was also on a lower point pace this season, so he couldn’t even beat Johnny in his down year. Johnny’s career low point pace in a single season is 65 points, career average is 79 points in a full season. Johnny is better at producing offensively and honestly it’s not close, Forsberg had potential but he’s 26 now, it’s likely that we’ve seen what he is, and it’s not particularly impressive. Still a good player who can get 30-30-60, just not close to Gaudreau, who tops that point total every year without trying and can push 100 points on a good year. Like fr, JG was 4th in Hart voting a year ago and people are already treating him like a 2nd liner I don’t get it
